    This screen grab↘️ shows the root cause of the 23May2019 Gangneung, South Korea #hydrogen explosion that killed 2: O2 pressure > H2 pressure, so any electrolyzer leak was #O2 into #H2.
    Anything over 6% O2 in the H2 storage tank is enough to enable an explosion!

    Korea Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon issued an emergency directive on the 17th (the same day as the most-recent accident) regarding the #H2 explosion.
    It is actually the 2nd #hydrogen pipeline accident this year!
    Korea needs to establish a culture of hydrogen safety ASAP!

    🎆 🔥 2025Mar31 Korea Supreme Court: +10B won US$6.8MM damages award for 2019 Gangneung hydrogen explosion, which killed 2 injured 6
    1) No oxygen monitor on #hydrogen gas produced by electrolyzer
    2) Unqualified incompetent company was in charge!

    Conclusion: use qualified people who know #H2 safety

    I hope Supercritical Solutions Ltd #SSL told Shell Ventures #Shell & Toyota Ventures #Toyota that #SSL electrolyzers produce flammable🔥 hydrogen-oxygen gas mixes!

    Granted patent GB2605761 has 0 data.

    But WIPO pending app ⬇️ WO2024061976A3 by #SSL shows:

    - 22% H2 in anode O2 (5.5x above 4% lower flammability limit #LFL)🔥
    - 11-12% O2 in cathode H2 (2x below 6% upper flammability limit #UFL)🔥

    I need to let UK HSE Solutions know #SSL is totally unsafe!
