3. It will take time to build renewables and electrolyzers for #GreenHydrogen. Current industrial #fossilfuel based #hydrogen use in Australia is 500,000 tonnes per year. Government budgeting green hydrogen production of around 500,000 tonnes per year into 2040s, not enough to reduce #transportEmissions

@KiwiEV this is such a nightmare!

It’s possible to buy the Mirai in SoCal preowned for less than the value of the hydrogen fuel credit, but…

1) Once the fuel credit runs out, hydrogen is VERY expensive.

2) The stations frequently run out of hydrogen, apparently, so your Mirai is a brick until they refuel.

3) There aren’t many stations!

4) Has nobody figured out yet that going to the gas (hydrogen) station is NOT a fun experience?!

However, they are offering 0% APR over 6 years (which nobody is doing), and… wait for it… a twenty-two thousand dollar rebate! 😱

Of course, within 3 years, they’ve lost 75-80% of their value used.
