Full moonrise at Reef Bay, Mayne Island British Columbia on October 28, 2023.
A friend had asked if I could do my magic and confirm for her where the moon was going to rise last evening. So I looked up the degree for the rise for Vancouver B.C. and went to the beach of her choice and pulled up the compass on my phone. Using this I could then guess that it will be just slightly farther to the left by about five more degrees than the degree calculation for Vancouver. I left my friend a voicemail and went home to prepare our usual early supper but I couldn’t stop thinking about the moonrise at 5:51 pm that evening.

Tonight (Saturday, 28th October) see the full #HunterMoon rise just before #Jupiter, the pair following each other across the sky all night. Look low in the northeast at dusk.
