So Matt Gaetz has withdrawn his support from Byron Donalds and is now supporting former President Donald Trump as the next House Speaker, in the #HouseSpeakerVote.

I don't see that happening. I think 5 Republicans cross the aisle and vote with the Democrats before that happens.

And just in the round that makes it clear that McCarthy is finished, through, finito - cannot win -

Rep-elect Matt Gaetz just stood and voted for Donald J. Trump in the #HouseSpeakerVote.

McCarthy gave the 20 holdouts nearly 100% of what they were demanding in overnight negotiations.
