I just finished the four-part #Netflix series “High on the Hog”, inspired by the Jessica B. Harris book of the same name. She even appears in episode one. The show explores the #African influences on #American #cuisine throughout #history. It understandably gets heavy in some parts, but ultimately left me inspired, hopeful, and craving for all sorts of dishes. If you like lesser known corners of history, #cooking, or #food, you might enjoy this.

I just read the book "High on the Hog" last year and loved it. I think it was @KosherSoul that brought my attention to it (who has his own book on the topic "The Cooking Gene"). I can't wait to watch this series. Here's a link to the book #highonthehog
