Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted allegedly led the charge with now-indicted FirstEnergy executives to pass legislation that was the result of the largest corruption scheme in state history, according to newly released text messages. Husted denies knowing House Bill 6 was a bribe.

Now-indicted FirstEnergy executives allegedly worked with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and his team to pass legislation that was the result of the largest corruption scheme in state history, according to newly released text messages. DeWine denies knowing House Bill 6 was a bribe.

2/UPDATE: DeWine denies wrongdoing in connection with $500,000 he solicited from #FirstEnergy's CEO – indicted earlier this year on bribery charges, in the last month before his 2018 election after the education union gave his opponent $1mil the day before.
It’s the latest in the bribery and corruption scandal involving the nuclear power plant bailout law House Bill 6, which DeWine signed in seven months after he was inaugurated in 2019
