An urban legend claims that this painting of Spanish Military leader Bernardo de Galvez is haunted. Some that have seen it on display in the lobby of the Grand Galvez (formerly Hotel Galvez) in Texas say that its eyes follow people as they walk past and that any photos taken of it come out blurry unless the photographer asks the painting for permission first.
