William #Whewell's notion of #Consilience is often mentioned in this connection. It was later picked up by #EOWilson.
#Peirce's #Pragmatism takes some pains to side-step the superficial dichotomy between #Objectivism or #Foundationalism and #Coherentism or #Consensualism.
Susan #Haack, for instance, tries to integrate them in her concept of #Foundherentism.
