AAAH, QUÉ BUENO ESTÁ #GTA4
Como exusuario de una papa con cables, solo había llegado a probar el universo 3D de la saga y, para sentirme mejor, me quería convencer de que el HD seguro no tenía tanto corazón (?), PERO AHORA QUE LO PUDE PROBAR ME CERRÓ LA BOCA. Eso que solo llevo como cuatro misiones, pero empezó con todo 🤪, aunque con una historia menos «épica» que la de los anteriores que probé (igual ya estoy en el punto donde empieza a escalar). Alta ambientación, personajes Y TREMENDOS TEMAZOS EN LAS RADIOS. 🛐
Igual parece tener tanto contenido que siento que me voy a quedar con mucho sin ver y necesito verlo TODO.

Quizá no sobreviva al 5 si es tan bueno como dicen, pero al menos tengo mucho tiempo hasta conseguir una computadora de la NASA para correr el 6 cuando salga (¿qué pasará primero?).

Про то, что мне нужно обновить свою версию Fusion Fix я задумался примерно на середине, когда понял, что таких настроек у меня нет.

Я каталась в метро GTA IV около двух часов, чтобы разобраться, как оно устроено — так что вам не придётся! На первой картинке — схема из самой игры: 4 цвета, какие-то 8 значков с буквами и цифрами... Выглядит запутанно? Мне тоже так показалось. Но всё оказалось куда проще.
На деле тут всего два маршрута (см. картинку 2), просто линии кольцевые — поезда ездят по кругу, без конечных. Поэтому каждый маршрут отмечен двумя цветами: по одному на каждое направление.
Дополнительно путает то, что у каждого цвета два обозначения. Например, у красной линии это "J" и "3". Зачем? Чтобы разделить маршрут на участки. Метро обслуживает три острова, и каждая линия проходит через два из них. Символ линии меняется примерно между центрами островов: пока поезд едет с одного острова на другой, символ остаётся, а после смены — меняется.
Запомните одно: Easton — пересадочная на все линии. Остальное можно понять уже по дороге.

Okay so #GTAIV #GTA4 has a bug called the Taxi bug where the game will spawn nearly exclusively Taxi's if it runs out of VRAM (Default 40MB) to spawn vehicles. Modders increased this to allow for modded cars.

This fixes that bug, hooray. However this also causes an issue where engine sounds stop playing after a while.

This is caused by the game keeping around more cars from different areas of the map, because it relied on Memory pressure to clear them out. Once you have > 18 vehicle types in the game, the new ones lose audio.

Therefore I have 2 solutions to propose:

Increase the number of engine audios allowed to play at once; This enables more car diversity, but it does mean that cars can spawn in the wrong areas. I think this is fine though.
Patch the Traffic spawn script to be more active in swapping out the loaded traffic set for the one for the area; Instead of waiting for memory pressure, check every 1 second to see if it should be updated. Shouldn't cause any noticible latency, keeps cars spawning where they should be, and fixes the audio bug by keeping everything where it should be.

Or really, option 3: Do both.

Both both fixes the cause (too many sounds to play) and the cause (not enough slots to play them).
