A lot of cleanup and some thinning on the Headless Horseman's cape. There was also a huge brick of a part number that needed ground away.

I'm covered in plastic shavings from the rotary tool.

Working on The Headless Horseman #scalemodel from Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.

I have all I want cemented together for now (the Horseman isn't actually attached). I typically use a combo of #Tamiya Extra Thin cement and MEK to weld the parts together.

I also have a batch of sprue-goo dissolving down now for some of the gaps. The it'll be two part filler and maybe some putty.

It's a big kit, so it should be fun to #airbrush and #paint

Work continues ever onward with Count Orlok from #Nosferatu

Shading on the skin and clothes are done. The base has been, well, base coated with craft paint and gloss sealed so I can do some quick washes and weathering.

With any luck, I think I can be done before the #groupbuild deadline (10/28 at noon ET)

I wish the shading on the skin would show easier on camera, but it has always had a problem with lighter colors. May be time for an upgrade ...

I still have to mask and paint the cuffs and collar, but the parts need to bake for a bit.

Colors are mostly #ArmyPainter #Warpaints , thinned with #Vallejo Airbrush Thinner and Flow Improver, sprayed through my #Paasche Talon airbrush.

Next up is the base, but that'll mostly be craft paint brushing, washes and dry-brushing. It's the no-fuss part of the build.

Count Orlok of #Nosferatu from Monarch Models. It's supposedly the last run of this kit.

Let's see if I can build and paint it in time.

Elsa Lanchester as the Bride of #Frankenstein

A poly-vinyl figure from #Horizon that's older than me, LOL. It was the first time I painted a large figure / face.

The sculpt isn't great, but I think I made it work well enough with paint.

I used cheap craft paint for the dress and bandages and #Vallejo acrylics for the face and hair.

This poly-vinyl material is a bit of a different animal to work with for sure.

Here's a kit I built back in May, 2021 for a #starwars #groupbuild at Hobby Link International.

A #bandai 1/144 Boba Fett's Slave 1, or Firespray, or Starship. Whatever you want to call it these days ... I won't judge ...

I painted it with #vallejo acrylics via airbrush and a LOT of chipping medium.

I also custom designed an #electronics board to power some flickering LEDs for the engines.

Bandai kits almost build themselves.
