Antarctica observation ship Soya (1/350, by Hasegawa). 🧊
I built this kit three years ago. The products of this company are so fragile, often old, and very difficult to assemble, but they certainly look good, and the official photo-etched parts can improve the appearances. (1/2) -
I mean - #scaleModelling legend has it that urea-doped ice was invented as a result of a technician urinating in the wavetank (presumably at the US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory); perhaps there's a similar legend in the internal combustion engine industry regarding AdBlue.

A funny experiment: comparing various kinds of miniatures at the same scale (1/144).
Penelope (18cm tall / 25cm in heavy armed form), V-Gundam (10.5cm), Millennium Falcon (width almost 18cm), the submarine U-2540 (53cm), and the train car of Eizan Railway in Kyoto (around 10cm at 1/150).
This is one of the interesting aspects of the modelling hobby. -
Tomorrow the main structure (the keep) of Hiroshima Castle will become inaccessible due to aging.
Attached images are the plastic kit (at 1/350 scale) by Doyusha Model Co., Ltd. -
IJN Kongo (by Fujimi, 1/350 scale) is definitely the piece that took the longest to complete in my modelling history.
I worked on the 60cm kit over ten years ago when my skill was lower, but the quality is unsatisfactory in hindsight. -

Photos of I-401 (1/700 scale) by Aoshima based on the comic Arpeggio of Blue Steel.
A fictional sci-fi submarine transformed from the ship of the Imperial Japanese Navy in WWII, fused with a heavy cruiser, and exposes the Supergravity Cannon Launcher inside from the front of the hull.
After painting all the parts, I added precision machine guns by Finemolds and photo-etched metal handrails. (2/n)#modelling #模型 #aoshima #scalemodels #scalemodelling #蒼き鋼のアルペジオ
