Grado Labs do not advertise.
They rely purely on word of mouth.I got the cheapie SR80 Prestige model a while ago, and was impressed by the sound, and above all the comfort. They are an "Open ear" design, which means folks around you will hear what you are listening too (great for audio exhibitionists)
The open ear design means you can wear them for a long time as your ears breathe.I liked the retro design and their "word of mouth only" philosophy. Clear, detailed sound with a good range and balanced bass. They are comfortable due to the lightweight design, and the build quality is solid with a durable cable.
I emailed the makers and judging from the response, they are a small, NY based, Italian ancestry shop where they assemble their units by hand.

Got a new set of pads for my well loved Grado SR80-i #headphones. The old ones were disintegrating and I didn't even think the new ones would fit with how stretched out the originals were.
I've had these since high school and they're still going strong. I like them for listening at the office because the open back means people can't sneak up on me 😆
The package came with this really nice brochure which has taken its place on my cubicle wall.

Just dug up a pair of Grado Labs SR60 headphones that I haven’t used since I stopped messing around with music recording. They need new ear cushions (just purchased), and they sound amazing. I am super glad I didn’t get rid of them!
