Mein #Android12 Gerät bekommt ja schon länger keine Updates mehr. Trotzdem tauchen immer wieder Zugriffe auf neue #googleapis auf. Die kommen demnach entweder mit der #PlayStore-App, die eh vollkommen heimlich im Hintergrund agiert, oder Updates der #Gmail-App schleusen sie ein. Eben neu entdeckt z.B. "appsgrowthpromo-pa" und "taskassist-pa", die aber gleich von der #Firewall geblockt wurden.
"playstoregatewayadapter-pa" und "deviceintegritytokens-pa" auch gerade neu entdeckt, die ich der Firewall jedoch erst beibringen muss.
Ehrlich, diese hemmungslose Überwachung ist nicht nur einfach respektlos, sondern absolut niederträchtig, widerwärtig und menschenverachtend. #Google

Das soll Vertrauen schaffen? Bei der ARD Mediathek kann man sich nur anmelden, wenn man Zugriff auf "identitytoolkit.googleapis.com" gewährt. Wer zur Hölle hat so etwas programmiert und vor allem, wer gibt so etwas frei? Ich könnte kotzen. 🤮

The googleapis #npm package can be used to implement secure access to #GoogleAPIs in #Nodejs applications. It provides a client library for using various Google APIs with support for authorization & #authentication using OAuth 2.0, #API keys & #JWT tokens.

Like @protonmail they act as a #SingleVendor / #SingleProvider solution and @signalapp not only refuses to distribute their app as #sourcecode so @fdroidorg and others can actually release reproducible builds but they also don't make it #SelfHosting capable.Not to mention their reliance of #GoogleAPIs and #centralization in the #USA and thus subject to #CloudAct as well as collecting #PhoneNumbers and being thus able and willing to do #Cyberfacism on behalf of US Gov.

I was in the middle of recommending /e/ (among other options), but, when checking out your website, I noticed something quite incoherent.
By visiting your website (in normal mode) it appears that users are contacting Google via Google APIs (among other third party connections). This raises a few questions. Are there any plans to clean up the website? Are there any connections to Google services embedded in /e/'s basic operations?
