In an attempt to actually play all the boardgames I own rather than keep replaying sporadically the couple we know how to play I treated myself to the Boardgame Stats app. I was pleasently surprised by how easy it was to catalogue all of the games I own and I love the random game button if I'm struggling to think of something to play. We are aiming to make Saturday nights Boardgame and PC co-op game night

Joined a walking group a few weeks back. Started with 16 of us walking 5k 3 times a week. Woman who organised it all is taking a break and has handed running to me (I didn't volunteer).
It had dwindled to single figures by week 2. I am now the only regular walker. I am a one person walking group.

Every couple months someone pings my workplace style guide to recommend against using "see" in cross-reference language because it's rude to or excluding of people with low or no vision, and we keep citing our own employees with visual impairments who say no, for god's sake, just use "see," we get what it means, don't make it more convoluted! #goodintentions

As you wrote Gap and Truth can luckily be cut off by (y)our admins. #EverydayRacism, #ColorBlindness and #Mansplaining though is more difficult to handle (the path to hell is covered by #GoodIntentions and resulted pain...). I guess in Fediverse like in real societies this is calling for a multitude of constant parallel debates about hegemony and the ways users (don't) want to interact inside instances. So - thanks again!

The single biggest #division in the human world seems to be between people who, at all costs and despite any evidence otherwise, need an #Infallible #leader, be it #Trump, #ElonMusk, #God / #Jesus or #GretaThunberg and those who want their leadership to be #human with flaws but general #GoodIntentions, who must be held to account and are often replaced or added to.
It seems to be an insurmountable difference.
