Wenn die "normale" Wetter-Vorhersage um "Space Weather" ergänzt würde.
Kommetar zum verlinkten Video:
"I was amazed when I found out he could link planet positioning to space weather to earthquakes. He literally gives us region and time frames and severity. Mind boggling!"

#StefanBurns is a #geophysicist giving us the latest #news about space & earth weather, sun spots & electro-magnetic outbursts, earthquakes & more. in this episode he explores the hypothesis of IF #3Iatlas is NOT a comet (which he doesn't believe) what might it be doing in our solar system & where might it be heading.
very interesting & logical ideas. -
Hi all! just moved from another instance so an #introduction is in order. I'm half-half a #Geophysicist and #Astrophysicist working at the Royal Observatory of #Belgium. I study the normal modes of fluid planetary cores and stars. I care for social justice and human rights. #Photography and #AstroPhotography are my main hobbies. Follow me for bad takes on #academia and #nature pics.

Hi, I am Tobias Stål, nice to meet you!
I am a #geophysicist at the Australian Centre of Excellence in Antarctic Science #ACEAS based at the University of Tasmania #UTAS (math and physics). Presently, I am working on seismology and geothermal heat, but my background is in #geology, particularly #sedimentology and #carbonates.
I like music, old boats, well-written code (usually not by me) and to drink beer and coffee. I am learning linguistics.

Time to finally do a proper #introduction here before the year is out.
👋 I’m a #ClimateScientist, #geophysicist, #educator and associate #professor @ McGill University in #Canada. My research group works on understanding #SeaLevel and #IceSheets in past, current and future #climate using #NumericalModeling tools and geophysical and geological observations.
Passionate about #education, #outreach, #interdisciplinary research + training and supporting #equity + #inclusion in #academia and #stem.

Tootverse #introduction :
I am an #earthquake scientist, formerly with USGS as a #geophysicist for >28 yrs., but now in industry. I worked on applying new technologies (GPS & lidar) to seismic science. I now work on prioritizing seismic mitigation projects in the critical infrastructure energy sector. My Ph.D. is from Columbia University, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. I’m passionate about the #GPSL1C signal that is on board all new #GPS satellites, starting with block III (5 so far).

With the news, I think it's fair to reintroduce myself to new #fedizens. I'm Scott, I'm a landscape #archaeologist and archaeological #geophysicist. I study the transitional landscape between Roman and early medieval Britain. My day job is to analyse seabed data for shipwrecks! I also teach Life Long Learning courses through Aberystwyth University. I'm very interested in all folks on Mastodon with an interest in #archaeology and will work to build the heritage content here.
