I miss the '80s. We had it so good when it came to #Gamebooks. From #FightingFantasy and #LoneWolf to more open world affairs like #FabledLands. We had so many solo role-playing game books to choose from It was honestly overwhelming at times.

Unfortunately, this boom seemed to slowly die off in the early '90s. On the occasion that we do manage to get a new game book, it's usually something quite special.

My hardback copy of Ahu's First Patrol just arrived and I really look forward to giving this one a play through.

What sets this apart from other gamebooks is that this one actually uses the #DungeonsandDragons 5th edition rules bringing to mind games like #TunnelsandTrolls with their plethora of solo modules.
