Did you know that Fyffes had to rebrand themselves as Chiquita in Sweden? The reason was that the famous student paper Blandaren ran a joke ad* somewhere in the 1960s. At the time Fyffes' bananas was sold as easy digest, so the ad said
"Fyffes, so easy to digest they taste like shit already in your mouth."
Swedes löööves bananas, but that killed the brand.
