Our beloved Elder & one of the Head Women at the Kvnfvske ceremonial grounds recently lost her mother and husband in the span of a few weeks. This past Friday March 21st, a beloved NOLA community member Xeena was issued a 5 day order to vacate from her home.
We are urgently trying to raise another $4,000 over the next 4 days to avoid an eviction. You can give at the link below!
The very hopeful news is that there is a path forward for Xeena to get rental assistance. This would be so major and amazing and awesome! However in order for that to happen all of the back rent has to be paid so that a new lease can be issued for the process to move forward.
We can collectively help a Black disabled trans femme stay in her house. This is a matter of survival, of living or dying, of safety - please support if you can. And please spread the word!
