this scenario ends badly and that's why its how my Zone of Influence series begins.
to wage war against a real opponent, the enemy's satellites need to go; that's why we have a war department with a space force component. once the cascade of space debris begins, maybe check on the whereabouts of that lady said she would be raptured any day now then lay your bets accordingly :(
