CW: #inkvent swatch with spicy botanical doodle
Nutmeg—Loved this grey-brown with gold shimmer. Paper is Mnemosyne and I used a glass dip pen andzebra G nib. I have nothing like this in my ink hoard. It’s like a cross between vinta gold dust & j. Herbin’s cocoa du bresil #FountanPen #ink #InkSwatch #FountainPens

So tonight I finally cleaned some pens. For the next few hours all of my favourite pens are standard Jowo C/C pens. Don't come here with your fancy filling systems and ink windows, I spent more time cleaning the Leonardo momento magico than all the others combined 😤 .
...
It writes great tho 🤔

I somehow misplaced my #kaweco AL Sport #Fountanpen during lockdown. It can't have gone far, but it was the one "bulletproof, always with me" pen I relied on. So I finally just went all-in and bought a #Steel Sport to replace it.
I have to say, the weight of it (around 45g when full, with the piston converter) really helps control my twitchy handwriting. I do much better than I do with the cheap plastic "skyline" sports I had fallen back on.

I've had this for a good long while now. And basically I've had it inked up since I got it. But I've never felt this strong metallic smell from it before. I kind of like it but it's also very strange that it'd come now. After several years of use.. Like.. What changed?
I used it this afternoon and it smelled like nothing at all. Now, a couple of hours later it's the strongest metall smell I've felt in years.

In preparation for a trip to a pen store I did a little roundup of my current inks. I thought it might help me choose what to buy if I get a better sense of what I have.
I'd say I'm pretty spread out on colour, but I should probably try more than one brand 🤣 (in fairness I have four).
Also: Why don't I have any inks whos name start with "O"?Yes, this is the kind of organisational nerd I am.
