This year, as fate would have it, I’m using a Kura-shi diary (from the Nordic Lifestyle Shop). It starts on 1 September and runs until January 2028, which is a real blessing for someone like me who isn’t keen on getting things ready in advance before the end of the year (I’m the sort who wants to start using it as soon as I get my hands on it).

I’ve been rearranging my bookshelf, grouping my favourite authors at just the right height. I’d placed 30 hardbacks by Kaho Nashiki—including "Kononiwa-ni" and "Angel x 3", which are a bit small size—at the front, with the paperbacks in front of them, thinking that looked just right. But then I discovered the 31st book, which I’d left behind at work, and my plan collapsed.

I’d dropped my fountain pen and snapped the nib—a proper disaster—so it’s been off for repairs, and I’ve finally gone to pick it up. Things have been rather chaotic at home, and I haven’t even had time to drink a #coffee, but now that things have settled down a bit, I think I’ll be able to spare a little time. It’s hot, but the sunlight feels like autumn.

お久しぶりです！以前、問題の見つかった材料を新しいものに替えて、新しいアプローチでデザインを見直しました。いかがでしょうか？大きさはA6、厚さ16mmで384ページあります。
背の補強材からしおり紐がチラッとのぞく仕様です。天小口（上側の断面）はペーパーナイフで切った状態で、小口と地小口（側面と下側の断面）は化粧裁ちをせず不揃いなまま紙の端を残して手仕事の味わいを残しています。
これから自分で使ってみて、耐久テストです！

I love adding citrus pulp to Starbucks’ cold brew, so I bought some of Aohata’s ‘Whole Fruit’ orange flavour (jam) to try in my coffee at home, and it turned out to be quite good. When it’s hot, I fancy an iced coffee without milk. I’ve just taken my coats to the dry cleaners.

Yesterday at the bookshop, I found Kaori Nashiki's new book, “Illustrated Guide to Wildflowers（translated title, unofficially)”, and bought it with a joy. The binding allows the pages to open perfectly flat, and I was impressed by the careful construction of the book. I learnt the term ‘Spring ephemeral’ for the first time. With a seasonal plum-blossom pen.
