Dave and Stevo, the Forest Ravens, have a kid that's just left the nest. We've called it Gavo. When Gavo gets hungry, it toddles after mum or dad like a muppet. The rest of the time, the parents completely ignore it and it just wanders off to sit quitely somewhere.
Here, Gavo's sitting in a patch of ferns and yesterday we came across it sitting quite fearlessly on a fallen branch we were about to cut up with the chainsaw.

More birds encountered today. All were wild, even though I saw three of them at the Bonorong Sanctuary (they had just flown in, presumably because it was a safe place, and there was food).
Forest Raven, Eastern Rosella, Masked Lapwing and earlier this morning at Mt Field, a Little Black Cormorant (one of four or five fishing in a small dam).
