I switched to this project from my woolly green jumper, because the weather turned warmer.
So now that I've finished it, of course it's freezing again and there's a storm due 🤦♀️
On the bright side, it was a fun knit!

This week's massively overdue finished project pic is these Year of Plenty socks, completed at the end of last year but somehow never posted. Oops!
I picked up the pattern as part of the @fastenoffyal 2024 and had to modify it to use my usual 64 stitches for a better fit.
This was also my tester project on mini circulars, which was a bit of a learning curve!
My knitted sock drawer is officially getting too full...

The finished Refracted Sweater! I love it, even though it's still a bit itchy. Consider me a convert to the wonderful world of speckle yarns for things other than socks 😁

It's official, I'm back to making videos! But I'm also rusty and it's taking longer than expected, so plans to publish today didn't work out. At least I'm back on the horse 🤷♀️
On the bright side I did need to finally take photos of this #CroppedBoatneckSweater that was finished a very long time ago, has been worn, has even visited Norway, and as you can tell from the crumples has reached the stage of "this is just a normal jumper that lives in my jumper pile"
So a very belated #FOFriday feature, for a project that was a really nice knit and didn't deserve to wait so long.

Since @thegiddystitcher wants to bring FO Fridays (Finished Object for those not versed in crafts lingo) back into popularity I figured I'd help out.
A small woven rug. It's a soft bouclé type of yarn in the pattern pics that has been alternated with a plain weave consisting of a simple cotton rag. -

#FOFriday my finished objects this week are 1) the Semilla slipover vest by Vivian Wei. Purls for days (it's partly knit inside out so I could knit rather than purl). Really liked the Wool of the Andes bulky yarn and it feels very comfy on.
2) January cuff club sock pattern from #SummerLee with requisite photo bomb from Charlotte. I added the little anklet stripe. -

It's #FOFriday and I have a FO! Needed a palette cleanser so took on doing another Emotional Support Chicken, my 3rd one. I'm finding that two fingering weight strands held together on size US2 needles is the perfect combo. This one, just like the little chickies, is made out of all scrap yarn. I find making "softies" to be very relaxing, no size/fit issues involved.

Sorry for not being around much - we had a death in the family last month and I haven't been feeling social. But I have been knitting through it. For #FOFriday, I finished these April Showers socks. These might be my favorite yet.

Remember ages ago when I boldly set forth to knit the Tea Rose Slip On in defiance of how frumpy super bulky yarn can look?
Well it may be over two months later but I am finally reporting in!
Turns out, I really love it 😁 It's not frumpy, it doesn't feel bulky to wear, it's just coziness personified. Worn it loads, including right now while writing this toot!
I promise to take a photo of it actually on me at some point but I'm knackered so this will have to do for now.

FO is a finished object, more traditionally a #FOFriday thing although that one seems less in favour these days.
And then of course you have FFO, *fully* finished object, because there's a difference between in this example "finishing" the cross stitch and actually "fully finishing" it by turning it into something.
It's a whole other world 😂
