This is what's out my camper window right now. This is a really beautiful spot and it's super quiet, despite being just about 100 feet off the road.
I'll put my portable solar panel out today and top off the charge on the utility trailer's battery. No need to suck power with Starlink; my cell phone connection (1-2 bars LTE) is good enough to keep in touch with the outside world.

Photo through my camper window looking across the lake as the first light touches the tops of the mountains there. This is the kind of stuff you don't see when you're parked in a KOA "campground." #FirstLightIsBestLight

Here's a view from my deck that I don't normally share. On the left is the shadow of my house and the tree I planted 10 years ago that is now taller than my house. This hillside separates my property from my next door neighbor's. To the right you can see the valley and mountains bathed in this wonderful golden light. #FirstLightIsBestLight

The balsamroot in my side (north) yard just after dawn. Balsamroot are perennials so they come back every year. This particular patch has been spreading. I think they're blooming early this year. I seem to recall them being in bloom on Mother's Day. I'll check the other two patches in my yard over the weekend.

Timing is everything. My window for shooting this image was less than 10 minutes. I managed to get the drone up and into position before the sun slipped behind a cloud and these mountains turned gray.
If you see the shot, take it. It might not be there just a few minutes later.

Looks like it might be foggy on the north end of town. Two photos from my deck: one at 2x mag and one at 5x mag. Cropped for format (16x9) only. #FirstLightIsBestLight #sunrise #clouds

Good morning, Mastodon!
I'm going to spend another day in my #jewelry shop, finishing off the pieces I started yesterday and, with luck, knocking off at least two more. I'll share photos, but probably not step-by-step #silversmithing progress.
But for now, I'm just enjoying the dawn view to the west from my deck.

#FirstLightIsBestLight, #boating edition. Nice view of #DoItNow at anchor this morning in Belmont Bay. Dead calm now, but the wind will pick up later. I need to stow the dinghy, secure loose items, and get under way. I'm doing 43 miles today to an anchorage at Cobb Island, which should be sufficiently sheltered from winds out of the south. That will put me in a good position for a short trip to Leonardtown for the weekend. #BoatsThatToot
