Just finished #FARLoneSails from @Okomotive Such a lovely lineal adventure, where each scene is even more beautiful than the last. Recommended.

Will Herdling be fun? Will it run at all well on my aging Nintendo Switch? Can my poor day one Switch manage that much fur?
I don't know. I do know that their first game, FAR: Lone Sails, is currently $US1.99 on sale, and it is a fantastic game that takes under 3 hours if you are okay at games (it took me about 5 hours).

Blah. I didn’t properly save my last venture into #FarLoneSails on #NintendoSwitch and now the game isn’t loading. I’m gonna try to delete the game and all saved data and see if it works with a re download. Pity about having to start over, but I hope it works! I was enjoying the ambiance of the game. #gaming #videogames

Rolling the credit on Far Lone Sails, played on a #SteamDeck in hardcore mode (not smelling the vent, not even once)
This is my second game completed in 2024 and although a bit short, it has been a wonderful and busy trip.

Nintendo Switch eshop sales are fierce right now, and I'm going to put in a plug for FAR: Lone Sails (and the sequel FAR: Changing Tides).
2d exploration/puzzle, gorgeous tiny world, cool wordless
story, make sure things are quiet when you hit the end. Short, I got it done in a few days during my chaotic life. The music slaps so good. -

Just finished FAR Changing Tides, and I really liked it. Delicate beautiful art and music, gentle platforming and puzzles.
Both it and the first game are on sale on the Switch in NA. First game not necessary to enjoy it but I would really recommend it, not least because it is really good.

#FarLoneSails takes 3-4 hours to finish. Many of the achievements are 15-30 minutes apart with fairly trivial puzzles in between. Yet look at the percentage dropoff from start to finish. Starts at 86.5% and goes off all the way down to 55.1% for the achievement you get when you complete the main story line.

OH! RIGHT! Last Monday, I finished FAR: Lone Sails!!! I was about an hour away from when I stopped playing it last.
This was a beautiful little game, and I love every single bit of it. I 'died' twice: once from running out of energy and crashing x3 and again because I didn't move quick enough on the volcano.
Was sad when I saw my sailboattruck cut in half at the end, but aside from that, it was just a perfect little adventure/story 💕
