When I did see Daria again it was very awkward, she thought we could just carry on from where we'd left off. I said no, of course. We didn't part on the best of terms.

But I am grateful to her for that first time. It showed me who I am.

Miralees (cont): I'd kissed a boy a couple of times, just because our families had the idea we might get married, but I wasn't interested in him though I didn't understand why. But not being interested wasn't a concern.

But with Daria everything was different. When our lips met it was just so right. I don't really know how it happened but we ended up in her bed naked. It was lucky I was a bit drunk, otherwise I would have been so embarrassed because I didn't really know what I was doing.

But she did. I wasn't her first. Nor her last I expect.

When I woke up in the morning I was mortified. I couldn't believe what we'd done even though it was really lovely. And the way she'd made me feel was like I'd flown on a dragon - and later I did that and it's a very different thing.

We were at Daria's rented rooms, and she was arranging the making of my clothes because I was a guest of honour for saving a prince.

That's not important. The thing is I was staying the night because that was easier. And I was in awe of her, so strong and beautiful, tall and pale-skinned. Even the scar on her face just made her more special.

We'd finished the meal and Daria said we should go to bed. I don't know what got into me. I said I wanted to kiss her, and she said yes.

#ScribesAndMakers 5/15. What's going well with your creative work so far this month?

I have my new Linux computer, everything is running including the Windows versions of Scrivener and DazStudio. I can now do proper renders on DazStudio as I'm not memory-limited, and Blender runs like the devil, incredible.

I finished writing "The Damsel and the Mermaid", and my wife finished giving it an edit yesterday.

Although I have engaged my usual cover designer, she's going to be using the images I create, similar to the one attached below.

I have got "Maliha Anderson Complete" compilation created on Atticus (painfully slow it's so huge) and up on to Amazon, from thence to Audible so the narrator can upload the already completed audiobooks - that was the sole reason, omnibuses are more cost-effective.

Just trying to get everything together for the show on June 6/7.

So we (my wife and I) are booked to trade at a steampunk event on June 6th/7th.

My wife said, late March this year, "the theme for the event is pirates and mermaids, we could write books". So I said "That's a good idea."

The file was opened March 25th and the writing completed at 30K words on May 4th. And I'm now working on the clean-ups.
