Did the “Rattlesnake Bend” escape room at Bust Out Albuquerque.

What a charming little escape room! Theming was great - you start in a stagecoach and arrive at a small Wild West town with a bank, a saloon, a post office, a general store, and a jail. Fun little puzzles, and a neat twist at the end. A little anticlimactic at the end but still solid and fun.

It was pretty easy - we got out with 38 minutes to spare, so a good starter room.

I haven't done much in life, but I was in the team who made the record for the fastest time to solve the escape room The Park in WayOut Jyväskylä. Set the record in March of 2022 and just heard it's still the top time, almost 4 years later.

Gonna put that on my gravestone.

Had the opportunity to do the “Curse of the Mayan Temple” escape room at Bust Out Albuquerque today.

What a great room! Strong theming, fun puzzles, and some nice surprises of both the plot variety and the “ooh ahh” variety.

We beat it in just under :30! The host said we were only two minutes shy of the record. Hoo-ah!

We just defeated the excellent “Dracula” escape room at Twisted Time in El Paso.

What a great little escape room gem! Excellent theming while not being scary - very approachable and accessible.

The room has several unique puzzles that are memorable and the room is presented with a lot of consistent, immersive theme. A really well done indie room! Recommended.

Unfortunately they are closing in six months so if you want to try it better book it soon.

Today, we did the "Jumanji" escape room at Bust Out in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I was a little lukewarm on the theme before going in, but by the end, I was SOLD. This is a simply great escape room:

* Fantastic theming
* Fun puzzles, both thinky and interactive
* Well-presented story progression with lights, animations, audio cues, & environmental effects
* Friendly hosts

LOVED it. Easily one of the better escape rooms I've ever done.

A question for anyone who has ever done an escape room. My mum's partner gave some honest negative feedback in regards to clues etc.

Is it ever okay for a manager to respond to this along the lines of "it's more about the brains of the individuals in the group"?

Keep in mind and this is an important thing to note that there were people in our group who had disabilities.

There’s a new Korean game show that just started called Treasure Hunt, that I *loved* the first ep of. It’s a mix of large scale city-wide escape room style puzzles with Squid Game vibes. We’ve been playing Exit and Unlock games and from the Exit collection we have especially enjoyed Theft on the Mississippi. (The other two we played and enjoyed were The Haunted Roller Coaster and The Stormy Flight.) #ExitGames #escaperooms

Unlock! The Formula had us reach for clues more than once.

And Escape from the Starline Express had a clock puzzle that annoyed us both. That latter one was quite boring overall as well.

Anyways, let's talk about an interesting one. I would say this isn't really an ARG, but more of a puzzle hunt. Ceiling Wax is a youtube channel, which posts puzzles that you can solve alone, or with your friends. These puzzles are interesting, and fun to solve. Additionally, the amount of work put into this is really immense.

1. #Deathloop (probably my all-time favorite)
2. #EscapeAcademy (I'm a huge fan of #EscapeRooms)
3. #Civ3 / #Civ4 / #Civ5 (I have probably poured more hours into the #Civilization series than any other aside from...)
4. #NHL22 and the previous #EASports #hockey games (so many seasons in franchise mode!)
5. #Wolfenstein3D specifically for the #AtariJaguar. This was the smoothest and best-looking version of this game.
