For some reason I can't hear anything if I convert an audio track in place with #ffmpeg to be PCM audio in an MP4 file and put that on Resolve's first audio track, but it works if I move it to track 2. Still can't see the waveforms, though. Sure I could extract the audio, but then it's slightly longer than the video for some reason. This is necessary on #Linux because it doesn't support AAC audio (I hate #SoftwarePatents ).

Does anyone have an Adaptive Replacement Cache (ARC) patchset to the #Linux kernel ready to go for next month when IBM's ARC patent expires? (patent US-6,996,676-B2 is set to expire 2024-02-22) Can we finally get a good cache policy in Linux?

(NB to potential implementers: Do not look too close at ZFS-flavored enhanced ARC; those enhancements are separately patented by Oracle; patent US-7,469,320-B2 is set to expire 2027-02-13)
