This is always a tough time of year for me. I am happy that the city of Charlottesville closed Heather Heyer Way to through traffic running at killing speed through the memorial, at least for the day. Fascinating! Only about half of us drive alone every day and that number is trending down. That's pretty unusual by American standards. Working from home appears to be pushing that number down. "Pretty unique" by Virginia standards. "Our walking is way high". We are higher than every other college town. The Downtown Mall presentation was emailed to the Commission yesterday. I am especially excited to see progress on the long backlog of deferred maintenance. On the very last line there is this: "Repair and add seating.", very exciting for my fellow parents and people who enjoy a rest. #DowntownMall #accessibility
