Unusually for any #Filofax of that era, it has a #magnetic clasp rather than a snap fastener (as is now common on mobile phone cases) - black paint on this was worn off so I resprayed it as I already had the part used rattle can from repainting the centre caps for my alloy wheels.
I wonder how many people here can work out *why* this particular variant, in spite of being robust (more so than fake or real #leather) and fitting in perfectly with late #1980s #aesthetics and #design may not have been that popular back in the day (its a rare find second hand, although possible some folk have held on to theirs as they are durable)
What mishap could befall someone using one, as offices started becoming more high tech?😉

Hot Take: We need another means of determining Artistic Merit (I know, I know, whole can o' worms) besides sales, and artists (of all media: books, visual, music, etc) should receive some kind of UBI instead of relying exclusively on sales to perpetuate and facilitate the production of their art.
(As a musician I acknowledge this gets complicated when you factor in things like touring, but I'll allow "performance" or "exhibition" as a separate category from "creation," so ticket sales can help fund the whole production team.)
I support copyright in terms of "intellectual property," but not in terms of sales and distribution of media.
We need to divorce the creation AND consumption of art from money.
