    Noticed that this uses an AT89C2051 microcontroller and some research discovered that alternative open source code for it is available! So, some spare chips are on order so that I can play with the code and change what this thing can do.

    Apparently the open source code keeps better time, and code to make it be a stopwatch exists too.

    If was not a difficult build. The board silkscreen was detailed and showed the placement and orientation/polarity of everything.

    I decided to omitted R1. It is the charging resistor for a rechargeable coin cell. However, I am going to use a standard CR2032 coin cell and charging them is not a good idea.
