🎵 Volume 43, No. 1 of the French Journal of Music Therapy is available on Epi-Revel and brings together four texts (open access, in french).
https://epi-revel.univ-cotedazur.fr/collections/show/2079
The article by Mohamed Zinelabidine, a musicologist, musician and professor, focuses on Tunisian and Eastern musical culture and its links with philosophy. Paula Martinez Takegami’s article, meanwhile, focuses on Dance-Movement Therapy. Her approach, informed by her experience as a migrant woman from the Global South, offers a reflection that is both instructive and poetic.
Two other articles focus more directly on music therapy: Wassim Jomaa addresses the concept of recovery, which is already established in psychiatry and psychosocial rehabilitation but remains underdeveloped in music therapy; and Charlotte Guy’s article, based on a presentation given at the Clinical Study Days held by the Nantes Institute of Music Therapy in March 2026, explores the notions of non-verbal communication, synchronisation, empathy and reactive countertransference in music therapy.
Taken as a whole, this issue offers complementary perspectives on cultural diversity, arts therapies and contemporary clinical challenges in music therapy. 🎼

First HALathon with the ECOSEAS Laboratory
The Researcher Services Office organized its very first HALathon on May 26 in partnership with the ECOSEAS laboratory. Around ten researchers gathered to work together on their HAL profiles and on depositing/reporting their publications.
This initiative marks the beginning of a strengthened collaboration between ECOSEAS and the Office, both in the area of scientific publications and research data. Special thanks to Cécile Sabourault, Director of the laboratory, for her support!
HALathons continue with LIRCES and UR2CA
Building on this momentum, two additional HALathons were organized with the LIRCES (May 29) and UR2CA (June 25) laboratories.
For UR2CA, this was a first. In collaboration with Cassandre Château, the laboratory’s HAL coordinator, the Researcher Services Office team was welcomed to the Pasteur campus to support medical researchers in managing their HAL profiles and publications.
This session provided an opportunity to address the specific needs of this scientific community, whose publication dissemination and promotion practices differ from those encountered in other disciplines.
Annual HAL Network Meeting: Record Participation!
On June 15, the network of HAL coordinators and administrators at Université Côte d’Azur met online for its annual gathering. With 21 participants, the meeting confirmed the network’s growing vitality.
Agenda highlights:
• Statistics from the Université Côte d’Azur HAL portal
• New support formats (methodologies, guidance materials, posters, etc.)
• Recent developments: licenses in HAL and DOI assignment for thesesSeveral initiatives were identified to sustain this momentum:
• Creation of educational resources (practical guides, posters, presentation materials)
• Promotion of data papers in HAL (curation and methodology)
• Improvement of the quality of Université Côte d’Azur affiliations in HAL
• Removal of duplicate publication recordsThis momentum reflects the strengthening of the university’s HAL network and its commitment to developing support services that are increasingly aligned with the needs of research communities.

https://epi-revel.univ-cotedazur.fr/collections/show/2071
Edited by Muriel Lafond and Stéphanie Le Briz, the issue features six articles exploring various themes from the examination syllabus, including Seneca’s Thyestes (for the Classical Literature agrégation), Chrétien de Troyes’ Cligès, the works of the poet Antoinette Deshoulières (1638–1694), the plays of Alain-René Lesage (1668–1747), and the three novels of Claire de Duras (1777–1828).
Happy reading to everyone (in french) ! 🔓

📣 Read on Université Côte d’Azur’s diamond open-access publishing platform, and more specifically in the journal LexSociété, an original article (in french) by Amélie Imbert entitled “Thinking Law Through Science Fiction: Law, Imagination and Crisis. An Analysis of Everything for Everyone by M.E. O’Brien and Eman Abdelhadi.”
Situated at the intersection of critical legal approaches and the Law & Literature movement, the article offers an analysis of this 2022 novel and explores the potential contributions of so-called speculative or imaginative literature to legal scholarship.
Beyond inviting readers to engage with the forms of defamiliarization, as well as continuity, that can be identified in fictional discourses about law, the article opens up a broader reflection on research methods, the kinds of knowledge they produce, and, more generally, on the very role of imagination itself.

📣 The LJAD is launching its collection of conference proceedings in Epi-Revel this month, with the publication of the Proceedings of the conference held in memory of J. A. Dieudonné (Nice, 1996) – Materials for the History of Mathematics in the 20th Century.
In January 1996, on the occasion of the inauguration of the new building of the Jean-Alexandre Dieudonné Mathematics Laboratory, the University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis organized an exceptional conference devoted to the history of 20th-century mathematics. The event brought together, with the support of the French Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Advanced Scientific Studies, and the National Centre for Scientific Research, some of the most prominent figures in contemporary mathematics — including two Fields Medalists, Pierre Deligne and Jean-Pierre Serre.
🎥 These video archives constitute a living and irreplaceable testimony: that of mathematicians speaking, in their own voices, about the history they themselves helped to write.

On April 30, a session was held to present the services offered by the university libraries to the nine new associate professors who took up their positions at Université Côte d’Azur in September. This was the first session of its kind, integrated into the dedicated training program for new faculty members.
Several presentations introduced the university libraries, highlighting in particular their documentary resources and associated services. Additional sessions focused on research support and open science, covering both publications and research data.
The event led to rich and engaging discussions, with participants showing strong interest, especially in researcher identifiers (IdHAL and ORCID), following a personalized diagnostic of their individual situation carried out prior to the session. There was also significant interest in the Epi-Revel diamond open access publishing platform, particularly for its potential to showcase conferences and workshops organized within their laboratories.

🎊 Good wishes for the New Year and sunny greetings from the libraries of Université Côte d’Azur !
To begin 2026, we are pleased to share the strong activity over the past two years in the creation of ORCID affiliations at UniCA: nearly a 40 percent increase in creations between 2023 and 2025, most of them being employer affiliations.
This momentum is in particular the result of a proactive policy to support the scientific community in the creation and alignment of digital identifiers (such as ORCID, IdHAL and IdRef), with the support of the Research Services mission team during halathons, dedicated workshops held as part of masterclasses for PhD students, as well as during doctoral training sessions.

📊 The DATAZUR data workshop is improving the UniCA institutional spaces.
The Recherche Data Gouv data repository enables researchers to deposit datasets when no trusted thematic repository exists in their discipline.
https://entrepot.recherche.data.gouv.fr/dataverse/univ-cotedazur/
The UniCA institutional space is expanding: each laboratory now has its own collection, and a carousel has been added to make navigation easier. A new banner identifying the repository also accompanies these changes.
During this project, the data workshop team was also able to identify and link to certain collections datasets created by researchers affiliated with Université Côte d’Azur who had not used the institutional space when depositing their data.
-----------------
https://entrepot.recherche.data.gouv.fr/dataverse/univ-cotedazur/

💎 After extensive software development, the diamond open access publishing platform Epi-Revel has just undergone a major update of Omeka, the software that enables it to operate and manage its content. Until now, the site had been running on a version dating from 2017 (v2.0.2) and has now moved to the latest version released last August (3.2).
Although the changes are invisible to users, the list of functional updates is much more substantial. Many features have been updated, such as search, harvesting and content display, but the most important improvement concerns the site's security. The 2017 version contained numerous security vulnerabilities affecting both users and administrators. The vast majority of these vulnerabilities has now been fixed, and the site can now use more recent and more robust content modules than before.
--------------------------
