Hi, I'm back 👋

Since my last post here, I uploaded several new pages of the German version of DIAS.

Then I came to a point at where I decided to do what my artist heart wants to do for such a long time. So DIAS will pause for a while. I'm very sorry about that but I really need to do something different. Since I worked almost only on DIAS, I missed variety.

I'm currently working on buffer pages for chapter 6 of my manga DIAS//Model Zero. They are almost completely inked. After inking, I only need to do the finishing touches digitally.

I do my best so that I can update the german version as soon as possible.

I know, I have a BIG consistency problem... 🙈 But apart from that I'm really happy with how Dias looks now. Consistency is still one of my weak points but it motivates me to see that I made progress in other areas.

I need to order some drawing tools before I can start working on the pages for chapter 6. But as soon as they arrive, I think that it won't take too long until the german version of DIAS will continue!

I'm working on a new character sheet for Dias, too!

Dias' design didn't change as much as Juri's but the way I draw her changed noticeably over time. The more I drew her the more I changed things that didn't work well in different situations or things I wasn't satisfied with.

Initially, I wanted to add his jacket. But then I decided to keep it this way because this makes it easier to focus on his facial expressions. 🤔

It’s finally done! T^T Since I can only draw after work and on the weekends it took me several weeks to finish this artwork. It’s hard sometimes to keep the ball rolling but the hard work was totally worth it. 💪

I'm not used to writing manga dialogues in English. I often look up how to express certain things. This is a bit difficult sometimes and takes time but I'll do my best. 💪

Work in progress. The sketches are done! Drawing the mecha took me a lot more time than the characters. XD I’m not used to draw mechanical parts so I needed to correct the lines a lot until they looked acceptable.

Next step: Outlines!

I finished the first (rough) version of chapter 6!

I'm still planning the final chapters of DIAS//Model Zero so maybe I'll need to make changes. But for now this chapter contains two scenes that are very special to me.

In one scene I want to show something with big impressive panels. And the other scene will be cold and dark to create an eerie atmosphere.

Can't wait to start with the storyboards! 😀
