I'm back from the library! This book looks like a good start to learn more about this topic.
Drawing SciFi manga is very challenging for me, especially when the characters travel through space. But I really like my current idea. I don't want to give it up without even trying.

Work in progress. The sketches are done! Drawing the mecha took me a lot more time than the characters. XD I’m not used to draw mechanical parts so I needed to correct the lines a lot until they looked acceptable.
Next step: Outlines!
