Page 2 update:
Inking has started!

The light of the alarm might need some improvement but I'll see how that goes...
The alarm sound effect took some time to figure out... I think it corresponds well to a red alert kind of an alarm?

I discovered that ink quality plays an important role on fine lining... I used the old one I had on a new bristol paper and I saw some bleeding (the ink flows a bit outward from the initial line done with the nib), which made the lines quite meh and uncontrolled. Will use a new japanese one so maaaaybe there will be some inking variance on the page... Hopefully it will be unnoticeable in the final result :P

Page 2 update:
Nearly done with blue lining!
It took me quite some time to get the man's face right... in order to look the same as the one in page 1 :P
I still need to figure out the details on the final panel with the dude coming out of a cell, though...

And then it's inking time!

Page 1 update:
Ladies and gents and everyone else!
Inking of this page is finally done!! Maybe I'll add some fines lines via hatching for extra effect here and there but it's done :D

Tools used: menso brush for the heavy inking with gear and blackness of space, and g-pen nib :) (scissors and glue and another brush and white ink for corrections, I hate to admit XD)

Next step is going to be digitization and adding screentones but I will not share that because it's not traditional and I like to stick to showing only traditional process, and mostly because this work will be published in #fodongo zine soon, so it's a sly way to push you to read it there and support it :chick_devil_cute: :chick_devilish:

Next steps: page 2 and 3!! :D Stay tuned!! :D

Slow progress but quite some improvement!
(I still have a LOT to learn and figure out on facial expressions and mouth/lips movement :chick_shower_cry:)

I'm curious to see how the spaceship and 2nd panel will turn out when I'm don with inking this page...
