Inking has started!

The light of the alarm might need some improvement but I'll see how that goes...
The alarm sound effect took some time to figure out... I think it corresponds well to a red alert kind of an alarm?

I discovered that ink quality plays an important role on fine lining... I used the old one I had on a new bristol paper and I saw some bleeding (the ink flows a bit outward from the initial line done with the nib), which made the lines quite meh and uncontrolled. Will use a new japanese one so maaaaybe there will be some inking variance on the page... Hopefully it will be unnoticeable in the final result :P

Tools used: menso brush for the heavy inking with gear and blackness of space, and g-pen nib :) (scissors and glue and another brush and white ink for corrections, I hate to admit XD)

Next step is going to be digitization and adding screentones but I will not share that because it's not traditional and I like to stick to showing only traditional process, and mostly because this work will be published in #fodongo zine soon, so it's a sly way to push you to read it there and support it :chick_devil_cute: :chick_devilish:

Finished with blue pencil backbone of the page and now I went to inking. It's the first time I actually tried using g-pen for a comic other than generally doing hatching and line exercises...

I realized it gives compleeeetely different feeling to a brush... So much fine lining is extremely stressful XD Hence the crap quality of some lines and the corrections you see... But I'll get there!

Finished with blue pencil backbone of the page and now I went to inking. It's the first time I actually tried using g-pen for a comic other than generally doing hatching and line exercises...

I realized it gives compleeeetely different feeling to a brush... So much fine lining is extremely stressful XD Hence the crap quality of some lines and the corrections you see... But I'll get there!

Tried to five some more flesh to the prisoner and make the prison corridor more big and industrial-like. I'm also starting to get a better understanding of the 2 main characters' personality!

Since an art journey includes some fun every now and then, I did the very first drafts of a 3-page derivative work... I won't share which one yet. But it's #freeculture, it's CC-BY-SA and one of the works done in #Fodongo zine :D

I will try to share every step of the process, but sometimes it will be only small parts of the page(s)... There's a good chance that you'll see quite a few changes from the initial draft. Maybe none too though :P
