  1. It's #timelapse time again. Following on from the one I toot-ed a few days ago:

    here's another I shot from the same telescope - the #DanishTelescope at #ESO #LaSilla #Observatory in #Chile. I'm inside observing. The #stars are rotating around the South Celestial Pole. To the right of the dome at the start you can see the #LargeMagellanicCloud and to the left near the end the #SmallMagellanicCloud. Both are satellite galaxies of the #MilkyWay.

  6. I'm very privileged in my job to go to amazing #astronomical observatories. This one is the #DanishTelescope at the #ESO #LaSilla #Observatory at the edge of the #Atacama desert in #Chile. I was inside the dome observing #microlensing events during the course of this #timelapse. Look out for the glorious view of the #Galactic Centre near the end.
