And #VRML based chats. My first foray into it was #Blaxxun's #Cybertown back in late 1997. (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CyberTown)
I miss that place. It was simple yet innovative.
(It was also where I first saw “in-game advertising” many confused that a 2000-ish game first attempted.)

Maybe I should do an #introduction
I'm a professional web dev, but for hobby stuff I like to play with various technology, such as #virtualreality and #virtualworlds including #vrchat, #secondlife, #activeworlds, and #cybertown. I especially like combining them and seeing old worlds I'm nostalgic for in VR.
I also have some interest in #retrocomputing and reading about how computers before my time worked, but my development ability there is limited. I do like porting things to #html5.
