How do you come up with titles for your works?

When I first started writing the draft, #CrystalsofUlstra was just a working title. It was a functional title invoking the world’s magic and its invented name. But the name wouldn’t leave. It decided for me. The titles of the next books follow the same through lines of the forces moving in Ulstra, shaping its future.

I commissioned several portraits from a talented artist who is helping to bring the main characters of #CrystalsofUlstra to life visually. I am blown away by how good these are… it’s surreal seeing these people realized after they’ve lived so long in my head. Excited to share soon!

I grew up reading fantasy stories, but rarely seeing myself in them. Today I create my own worlds where queerness is front and center.
