Einem breiten Publikum wurde er in der Titelrolle der #Krimiserie #Zappek und als #Commissario Guido #Brunetti in der Krimireihe #DonnaLeon sowie als #StasiOffizier Hans #Kupfer in der ARD-#Fernsehserie #Weissensee bekannt. Neben seiner Mitwirkung in zahlreichen #Theaterinszenierungen trat er seit 1973 in über 100 Film- und #Fernsehproduktionen vor die Kamera.
