Gleiches LLM coding, allerdings was Modelle angeht offen und inhärent gleich FOSS als Codebasis. Funktioniert auch mit Mistral, ist deutlich weiter entwickelt als Mistrals VibeCLI.

Today I tried #codestral with #continue the problem was, that it was much too slow. So I tried #codeqwen, which my colleagues use instead #llama3 . Still don't know who Q is, and why I should ask (wen) her/him about my code (trying to be funny). First impression was, second was... not so good. I still have to test it against #llama3, but it is not as good as #chatgpt4o .

Mistral.ai released Codestral, its first code model: 🚀

* Model: https://huggingface.co/mistralai/Codestral-22B-v0.1It is a 22B model with at least 32K context length. That means, it should run reasonably fast on machines with a 24 GB GPU.
> Codestral-22B-v0.1 is trained on a diverse dataset of 80+ programming languages, including the most popular ones, such as Python, Java, C, C++, JavaScript, and Bash
The "Fill-in-the-middle (FIM)" functionality looks also interesting for tools in an IDE.
But here is an important detail - it is an open model and can be used for testing and research, but it is released under a new license called "Mistral AI Non-Production License":

It is clear that it does not allow other companies to host it and make money out of it (e.g. by undercutting the price of their API). That I can understand.
Since it is available in Le Chat (Mistral's UI), I assume it can be still used by developers working on commercial products (through Mistral's official UI and API). On a first glance, it looks quite strong.
