  1. CW: Opinion Piece

"The irony for Rishi Sunak is that he now “passes” to most voters as someone definitely posh – even though the truth is more shaded. What a deadening, suppressive, exhausting thing the British class system can be, even when you end up richer than the king."

  3. class consciousness is the foundation of any radical politics - :blobcatZapatista:

I heard that somewhere on #NovaraMedia probably from Aaron here, anyway, great interview if you want to try and understand who are the petite bourgeoisie, and more interestingly how if you, like probably most of the the 25-40ya graduates on this platform could be called the downwardly mobile petite bourgeoisie but of course your political outlook is different from the small business owner but why they share the same class.

  5. Comrades :anarchiststar:, this series is actually fascinating, published as a puff piece for the bourgeois magazine #Tatler magazine, it gives an insight to the British upper class. What I found interesting is the relationship between the institutionalised detachment of private schools and the parents. You see how loyal they are to their class, even more than their own family, to which they have, frankly speaking, a parasocial relationship. like they joke in this series how they can only express emotions to their pets because they can't to their family or friends. I'm not suggesting you should feel sorry for them, but it does offer an insight into how an unconscious class consciousness is formed in the bourgeoisie.

  9. Who is he?🧐

'Though she was herself a student, wifedom and life with a baby looked to me like a brutal curtailment of studenthood, locked in at home. There was her baby, Alexander, a few months old, lying naked on a bath mat, kicking his feet in the air, round, pink and fat, with a remarkable shock of electrically bright blond hair. As I gazed at him, I didn’t find that baby at all appealing, too pink and too noisy.' ⁉️
