Packing up to head to NOLA tomorrow for #chewbacchus this weekend - so freakin’ excited! Didn’t get myself sufficiently prepped to *play* in it this year (it’s been like my craziest winter on record), but that just gives me a reason to try for a third year running in ‘26!

Locutus of Borg #cosplay mask phase 3: paint! Tomorrow I’ve gotta figure out how to attach it to my face (probably some wire thing around my head, since the half-face nature of the mask makes it a little tricky to use an elastic band or a ribbon). I’ve got until Thursday, then I’ll be headed to #NOLA for #chewbacchus.

Locutus mask, phase 2: just added some borg implants, now I’ve gotta let it dry. I’ll start painting tomorrow. This is coming together nicely!

I’m going to #Chewbacchus next week in #NOLA, and I’ve completed the first step in the mask for my my Locutus of Borg #cosplay. I’ve got a few Borg Implants to add tonight. Plaster is really fun to work with!

I’ve been to #NOLA several times - absolutely love it - but I had always intentionally avoided #MardiGras season because #tourists. This spring I was living there for 6 months so couldn’t avoid the #parades, and I learned it’s not about the tourists - these are parties for the locals! And yes, such a blast, but I missed #chewbacchus (work). Something deep inside me just resonates with that place. (And omg: #SecondLine parades - I’d never even heard of them before!)
