This photograph was taken during my 1st backcountry canoe trip, a 4 hour journey to Spirit Island. As I pushed into the waters of Maligne Lake, I left behind the shore, a metaphor for my own material comfort, my insecurities, relationships & other areas of my life that were holding me back from discovering new oceans.
