I’d just got rid of most Flu infection symptoms and felt in a much better place, ready to tackle what I had set aside for the last two weeks or so. When, lo and behold, I realised my car registration had lapsed. How did that happen? Nothing about car rego renewal had registered in the memory banks of my befuddled flu-affected brain. Sure, I’ll sort it out soon enough. It’s not a biggie, except I had put off grocery shopping, all this time living off the pantry and the freezer, and I really need that car on the road. What’s more, the renewal requires a Pink slip (NSW Car Safety Inspection) and that can’t be done online nor before next week (bookings full).
I won’t starve, supplies are still good, but heck… what a stuff up.
Lesson learned: Don’t put off what you can do today. If I’d paid attention to the renewal notice when I received it and acted on it then and there, I wouldn’t be sitting here waiting for next week thinking about all the gorgeous fresh food I had set my mind on eating…
PS: the Flu wasn’t bad, mainly tired and sleepy, the occasional cough and sneeze, all with a foggy brain — thanks to vaccination :))

Ukrainians are massively re-registering and gifting cars after the mobilization law was passed. In March, 74,389 cars were re-registered, and in early April, the number rose to 110,997. The number of re-registrations under a gift agreement also increased fivefold, from 444 in March to 2,564 in April. The law includes restrictions on driving for draft dodgers. #Ukraine #CarRegistration

Roads into the #CBD at #peakHour should have a cost too. In #Australia we have an onerous #carRegistration tax that requires people to use their car to get value out of the registration.50c in in the morning, 50c out in the evening.
