  2. Ivvavik: A Place for Giving Birth

Ivvavik, Canada's first national park created through an Indigenous land claim agreement, has a name that means 'a place for giving birth' in Inuvialuktun. It protects the vital calving grounds of the Porcupine Caribou Herd. Each year, thousands of caribou migrate here to have their young, making it a cornerstone of Gwich'in culture and ecological stability. #Canada #Ivvavik #Yukon #Caribou 🇨🇦

  3. For @Ladone

My idea of a “small” inflatable toy is simply not compatible with the rooms of Europe.

The draft sketch meant to assist Akio with the commissioned art was too good to abandon.

  6. Caribou

#eltonjohn #caribou #seventiesrock #rock #rockmusic #music #musicsky #musiciansky #seventiesmusic June 28, 1974 ~ Sir Elton John releases his eighth album. Cranked out in little over a week in January '74, it was an immediate success. I mean, it's sandwiched between '73's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and '75's Captain Fantastic and there was no one hotter in concert or on the radio than Elton. 8. I’m loving Caribou’s “The Milk of Human Kindness” right now. Every track has its own vibe, and I don’t really know how to describe it.

My favorite tracks are “Brahminy Kite” and “Lord Leopard.” But they’re all great. It’s soothing my soul.

  10. From WWF Canada: New maps reveal dramatic decline of an Arctic caribou migration range

Today, these migrations — and the large herds they sustain — are hanging in the balance. The Bathurst caribou population has declined from 400,000 in the 1980s to less than 4,000 in 2025

The Gray’s Bay Port and Road project could lead to further losses.
