But we'll also tell you none of that matters, because the Macabeos have a Triple Crown in Gustavo Ramos (.409/5 HR/40 RsBI) and one of the Four Workhorses of the Apocalypse in Jesús Martínez. They have that dawg in them. Macas in 3.

They recently managed to sweep the mighty #CapitanesMAY :capitanes:—in one game throwing out FOUR of them at home plate—to go up to 27-21.

So it's entirely possible they could finish with a winning record, which even three years ago was impossible. And they don't even have Snowbrino now!

We’re not going to look it up, but we’re pretty sure that’s the first winning record they’ve had that far into the season.

Their one hope would be to somehow magically put together a wildcard run, and while that is exceedingly unlikely, they’ve somehow been around .400 all year with Ramón Moreno gone for injuries. It’s a real possibility they could have a winning season soon.

@thomas Our simulator doesn't track win streaks very well, but as far as we know, the longest win streak before this year was 23 games, so yes, they definitely broke that.

The #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: have gone 6-4 over their last ten, including beating the #CapitanesMAY :capitanes: back to back. They're 22-26 for the year! That's a .458 percentage!

With a third of the season over, 5 teams are currently locks for the playoffs.

The first two make sense, as they won the league pennants last year:

Game #1 is going to be particularly brutal.

The #BrujosGUM :brujos: and #CapitanesMAY :capitanes: are neck-and-neck at the top of Hostos in most hitting metrics—the Brujos hit harder, but the Capitanes get on base more consistently and move faster on them.

Pitching-wise, the Capitanes have a clear advantage, even possibly in bullpens—their José Ramírez, a righty closer, has racked up 3 saves and an 0.75 ERA / 2.12 FIP / 0.75 WHIP line.

By the way, #BrujosGUM :brujos: fans: laugh up the 28-game win streak as long as you can.

Because tomorrow, Game #1 has Depo on the mound against the #CapitanesMAY :capitanes:—the walkiest lineup in Hostos—and he won't have Guerrero, Santillán, or Trevizo behind him.
