Incidentally, that's also how many innings their first game together lasted.

González leads off with a hit, but two successive flyouts to CF threaten to strand him . . . and then Trevizo blasts his first pitch over LF.

@thomas Our simulator doesn't track win streaks very well, but as far as we know, the longest win streak before this year was 23 games, so yes, they definitely broke that.

The #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: have gone 6-4 over their last ten, including beating the #CapitanesMAY :capitanes: back to back. They're 22-26 for the year! That's a .458 percentage!

Responsible for the very first win of the season, thanks to his eighth-inning heroics against the #ToritosCAY :toritos:, Sierra—a former #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: and #PolluelosAIB :polluelos: forgotten man—had some bad luck against the #PróceresBRR :proceres: and hasn't pitched since. Total payroll makes some teams look cheaper, including (who else?) the #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros:—they're paying Víctor "Snowbrino" Nieves 1,602 pesos, 33% more than the next highest paid player in the league, and enough to put them well above average despite their 37th-highest payroll.

Preseason predictions were corrected. Again.

The #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: are now expected to go 59-67. That's a .468 record. Their best finish, ever, was .395.

The #BrujosGUM :brujos: are still expected to win their division, but with an 87-39 record and the #1 seed.

The #BrujosGUM :brujos: also got revised downward. By one game, to 83-43. Wild.

- Argandona is backup to rookie Omar Guerrero, but Cruz Santillán and Raul Hernández can also play shortstop.

- Sierra is a former #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: guy, which is why we've had our eyes on him since last season. He picked up 2 MPH in 1886.

The #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: are throwing Camulógeno Méndez for Game #1 tonight.

He’s the first right-hander to start a game for La Máquina since José Santiago’s final season in 1880.

Other things we need to discuss here:

3) We would *love* to see what poster Nieves had hanging in his bedroom, because there are none in the archives.

4) Imagine bragging to your friends that you were going to be on the #IngenierosRIN :ingenieros: when you grew up.
