So, it seems my #macintosh LC is not immune to the #capacitorplague 🫤
There is not a lot of corrosion, but the electrolyte is visible. I cleaned it up with vinegar and then isopropyl alcohol to stop the corrosion.
It seems like I'll need to buy a #capacitor kit and have some fun with the soldering iron... 🤷♂️
But now I want to check it it stills boots. -

Time for another quick fix... this time, an old "Mean Well" switching power supply doesn't want to cooperate.
Almost all electrolytic capacitors have failed in this unit. The output filtering capacitors have swollen, and the main capacitor after the bridge is simply open.
CapXon brand capacitors failed to meet their task. To be honest, until now, I thought Mean-Well used higher quality capacitors.
