  1. "We asked the top candidates for California governor the same 10 questions — here's what they said":

Only four of the top eight candidates answered those questions. I supported Xavier Becerra both before and after I read his answers. I agree with him on these state issues.

  2. A series of interesting and insightful messages this morning from @conifergirl.bsky.social point out why claims made against Xavier Becerra are not true. Xavier Becerra, a Democrat, is the best choice for governor of California in my opinion. Those false charges were intended to harm his political campaign. Becerra has the knowledge, experience, and instincts to be a great governor.

  4. Here is Matt Mahan's "model" for homelessness in San Jose. (He paid for these temporary shelters and sweeps by raiding a voter-approved ballot measure that was supposed to go towards building permanent affordable housing.) #CAgov #CAGovRace #MattMahan sanjosespotlight.com/san-jose-

  5. Later this month the "six candidates scheduled for the ABC7–USC debate are Chad Bianco (R), Steve Hilton (R), Matt Mahan (D), Katie Porter (D), Tom Steyer (D), and Eric Swalwell (D) ...

Ten candidates in total have filed to run for governor, meaning several notable contenders will be watching this one from the sidelines":

  6. "Mahan touts his office’s initiative to move 1,000 homeless people off the streets into temporary shelters. But he dipped into revenue from a voter-approved measure to accomplish this, diverting dollars from permanent housing...To date, the city has permitted just 9% of its state-mandated target of building 62,200 homes by 2031.

Is the solution to put people in tents or parking lots full of RVs because they can’t afford rent in one of the most expensive cities in the U.S.? Is this the formula he will take to Sacramento?" #CAGov #SanJose #MattMahan
