Turned off the lights and started upstairs last night. Immediately heard a crash and breaking glass - obviously the cat.
I go back to the living room to pick up whatever shards exist. The cat is naturally nowhere to be seen. Above the broken glass, on the ceiling are 30 of these 1.5mm beetles which weren't there 5 minutes ago. The cat yowls at them from the far corner. Obviously he was jumping at them when he broke the glassI traced them to a small gap around the window AC

Bug fedipeople,
Edit: pretty sure it's a conifer seed beetle. No need for id I guess unless you know different.
Please can someone help id this bug for me?INaturalist says it's a Leptoglossus and that several species are of economic importance, and one species, L. chilensis, has been reported to bite humans.
I hope your Sunday is a peaceful one.#bugIdentification #helpID #bugstodon #bugsofmastodon #EllieKPosts

Ok, need some #bugidentification help here. I've been having large, odd #bugs showing up in my bathroom. Don't know where they're coming from, but they seem solitary. They're black with some patches, narrow, and about an inch (25 mm) long, with transparent wings. They seem to have pretty poor vision as I've had no difficulty squashing them (unlike flies, for example).

CW: lots of little bugs, seeking ID
anybody able to identify these? hundreds of them in one of meats' houseplants. just the one, though. i can't tell if they're insects or arachnids at this size, and this is as good as my phone can do

Who's this guy? Looks like a wasp but in greyscale... seems pointier at the back end than a bee.
